Job Title: Project Engineer
Entry level up to 5 years’ experience.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management required.
Description of Job
Responsible for plan review, material take offs, purchasing materials, field verification and coordination, vendor documentation review and processing. budgeting, change order preparation, negotiation with owners, meetings, conference records, RFI's, submittals, shop drawings, billings and other project related assignments.
Ability to read; understand civil and mechanical blueprints, familiarity with general specifications and standards.
Ability to prepare shop and as-built drawings with CAD skills (3D CAD a bonus but not required).
Computer literate, including spreadsheet development, estimating, budgeting, financial reporting, planning and scheduling programs, and word processing.
Strong team player able to direct project teams, to communicate clearly and have strong writing skills.
Understanding of or able to learn field construction methods and techniques and able to direct field forces to execute work in a safe and efficient manner.
