POSITION: Program Administrator
STATUS: Full-time, Exempt
This position is at the Senior Administration level. The purpose of the position is to provide direct oversight of the agency’s program operation and related resources, consistent with the policies and procedures established by the Executive Director. This includes providing oversight of program staff, budgets, and program development and implementation. The Program Administrator is additionally involved in grant writing and oversight, ensuring that milestones, measurements, expenditures and reports are in compliance with the grant contracts.
The Program Administrator reports on program activities, improvements, concerns, and other related matters at regularly scheduled Program Managers’ Meetings and as requested, at meetings of the Board of Trustees, when held.
1. Minimum Requirements
Master’s Degree in social work or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Two years’ experience in grant writing and awarding of grants.
Two years’ experience in budget development and monitoring
3 to 4 years of experience working with at-risk populations in social services/work, community organization, or related field, 1 to 2 years of which should be in an administrative capacity.
Proficiency in the use of computers, word processing data tracking, and relevant software.
2. Desirable Basic Work Skills
Able to work flexible hours, some evenings and weekends.
Knowledge and understanding of the philosophy and operation of a community-based social-service non-profit agency.
Experience with developing, tracking and reporting on program performance indicators/outcomes
