Description:

Helper : Assists crew leaders in packing, loading, transporting, and unloading household or commercial goods.  Their primary role is to safely handle client belongings while providing exceptional customer service and working efficiently as part of a physical, on-the-go team.

Packer : Safely prepares, wraps, loads, unloads household or commercial items during a move.  They are responsible for taking inventory, ensuring nothing is damaged, and efficiently organizing items into moving trucks.  This highly physical role demands stamina, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities :

  • Packing & Wrapping : Carefully wrap fragile items (like glassware and electronics) and pad furniture to prevent scratching or breaking.
  • Loading & Unloading : Carry heavy boxes and furniture.  Systematically load and secure items in moving trucks to maximize space and prevent shifting during transit.
  • Inventory Tracking : Document items, maintain detailed move logs, and label all boxes according to their room destination or contents.
  • Customer Service : Communicate with clients, follow specific directions regarding placement of items, and provide a stress-free moving experience.
  • Safety & Maintenance : Adhere to DOT and company safety guidelines, assist with basic furniture assembly or disassembly, and keep the worksite clean.

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Physical Ability : Must be capable of repeatedly lifting heavy objects (typically 50 to 75 lbs) and spending long hours standing, bending, and climbing stairs.
  • Organization & Detail : Strong organizational skills to track inventory and meticulous care to handle belongings safely.
  • Education : A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a drug test.
  • Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles.
  • Experience preferred
  • Attention to detail
