Position: Full-Time Medical Assistant or Licensed Practicing Nurse

Are you passionate about providing exceptional patient care? We're looking for a dedicated, motivated, and reliable Medical Assistant to join our dynamic 6-provider family practice in Hilo. This is a full-time position offering great benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Ideal candidates will have:
Strong computer and EMR skills (preferred)
Ability to multi-task efficiently and stay organized under pressure
Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
Strong communication skills and dependability
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Proof of vaccinations: Tdap, Hep B, TB, MMR

Key Responsibilities:
Direct/Hands on patient care and rooming (including taking vitals)
Administering immunizations and injections
Performing EKGs and pulmonary function tests
Assisting with in-office procedures
Managing referrals and coordinating with specialists
Conducting phone triage and pre-visit planning

Qualifications:
Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) – or in the process of certification
Or Licensed Practicing Nurse State of Hawaii License
High school diploma or equivalent (healthcare-related education is a plus)

Position Details:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours
Employment Type: Full-time
