PacMed is Hawaii's only full service medical equipment and supply company celebrating 28 years of service to Hawaii's patients.  We are looking for customer service representatives on all islands and an Assistant Manager on Oahu.

Primary Duties:

1. Responds promptly to requests, questions and concerns regarding services, products, insurance coverage and procedures;
2. Receives and processes patient information and orders for equipment and/or supplies.  
3. Verifies patient and insurance information, enters patient information into appropriate system whilst ensuring accuracy of data entries. Obtains the required documentation and/or authorizations as required. 
4. Once requirements are met, representative enters order(s), creates appropriate schedules and forwards the Work Order to appropriate department for delivery or pick up;
5. Ensure requisite and pertinent documents are affixed to the Work Order (esp. For new patients / initial service). Paperwork includes: Patient Welcome Packet (Pre-Assembled with Privacy Notice, Medicare Supplier Standards, Capped/Rental Notice, PT Rights & Responsibilities, Hours of Operation, Complaint Process, Emergency Procedures, AOB & Copay Notification), ABN, Training Checklist and information;
6. Creates and maintains client and referral files (manual and computer) updates records, obtain and maintain authorizations, receives referrals and follows up on obtaining appropriate and supporting paperwork and documentation,
7. Provides insight on products or services as needed to Patients, Staff or other persons as needed.
8. Communicates via fax, phone, mail or in person with physicians, clients, referral sources, insurance companies and others as needed to obtain information needed to resolve organizational, client and billing issues.
9. Work with referral sources which may include in-person visits to the healthcare facility and/or client home and may involve working with other health care disciplines and other vendors to service the client.
