Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Class A CDL 9 Car Hauler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving and possess the necessary skills to transport vehicles safely and efficiently.

Duties:
- Transport vehicles from one location to another

- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles onto trailers

- Inspect vehicles for damages and properly code

- Load vehicles to legal overhead height

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving

- Maintain accurate records of vehicle deliveries and pickups

- Other duties as assigned

Skills:
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles

- Commercial driving experience preferred

- Knowledge of route driving techniques

- Familiarity with Car Hauler operations

- Ability to operate a forklift for loading and unloading vehicles

- Experience with tractor-trailer combinations for hauling freight

- Speak and read English well enough to do your job and respond to official questions

Qualifications of drivers:

- Be at least 21 years of age

- Be in good health

- Be physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle

- Pass DOT written Exam for drivers

- Pass commercial drivers road test

- Be able to determine whether the vehicle is safely loaded

- Be able to block, brace, and tie down cargo

- Furnish a list of violations or the certificate required by 391.27

- Have only one valid driver's license

- Not be disqualified to drive a motor vehicle under the rules in 391.15

- CDL Class A Driver's License

- Physical & Medical Examination Certificate

- Certificate of road test

- Certificate of qualification

- Traffic abstract for the past three years--Notification of traffic violation

- Driver improvement program class certificate (DIP)

- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Physical demands

Be able to work in a safe and professional manner individually, with customers, co-workers and supervisors.

Work Schedule

Full time (40 hrs/wk) Overtime on occasion

Shift work: Day, evening, night, weekends on occasion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
