The Poʻo Kula is responsible for creating a positive school culture, long-term plan for student success, managing people, data, and school processes, improving and cultivating leadership in others. The Poʻo Kula is attentive to data-driven decision-making and changes, accountability, conflict resolution, team building, and leading a well-organized school where student learning is always the central focus.

Qualifications

  • The Poʻo Kumu/Hope Poʻo Kula shall have a Bachelorʻs, Masterʻs or Doctorate Degree with no less than five (5) years of education and administration experience.
  • Conversational Hawaiian language with the ability to make public presentations in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi as well as drive Hawaiian cultural education is required.
  • Small business and/or non-profit organization management experience preferred.
  • Networking, marketing and publicity skills preferred.
