The Poʻo Kula of Ke Kula ʻo Piʻilani provides powerful leadership, management, and supervisory skills that promote learning for our students. As the protector of the whole child, the Poʻo Kula guides day-to-day operations to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all students, staff, and families. The Poʻo Kula is responsible for creating a positive school culture, long-term plan for student success, managing people, data, and school processes, improving and cultivating leadership in others. The Poʻo Kula is attentive to data-driven decision-making and changes, accountability, conflict resolution, team building, and leading a well-organized school where student learning is always the central focus.

Qualifications

• The Poʻo Kumu/Hope Poʻo Kula shall have a Bachelorʻs, Masterʻs or Doctorate Degree with no less than five (5) years of education and administration experience.
• Conversational Hawaiian language with the ability to make public presentations in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi as well as drive Hawaiian cultural education is required.
• Small business and/or non-profit organization management experience preferred.
• Networking, marketing and publicity skills preferred.
