2026-10-30     Scott Humphrey Corporation     all cities,AK
Description:

📍 United States (true traveler — live anywhere, national travel required) | $200K–$300K+ total package

About the Company

A top-tier national general contractor with a major presence in mission-critical and data center construction, plus corporate interiors, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and industrial work. Known for complex, high-profile projects, a relationship-driven culture, and a strong record of promoting from within, the firm is expanding its data center operations across Texas and beyond.

Job Description

The Superintendent leads all field construction operations on large-scale data center and mission-critical projects, overseeing the site from start to finish to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. This is a true traveling role — candidates can live anywhere in the U.S. as long as they can travel to the project. Teams typically spend around two years on a project before having a say in where they go next.

Select Responsibilities

  • Provide overall supervision of field construction — planning, coordination, sequencing, and scheduling
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain schedule and quality
  • Enforce jobsite safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment per company and OSHA standards
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and drive recovery strategies as needed
  • Perform quality control walks and manage punch lists through each phase of construction
  • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and officials
  • Maintain daily logs, material tracking, and project documentation
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and engineers

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven Superintendent experience on data center, mission-critical, or similarly complex commercial projects
  • Strong knowledge of means and methods, scheduling, and trade coordination
  • Genuine willingness to travel nationally for extended project assignments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Compensation & Total Package

  • Total annualized package commonly reaches $200K–$300K+ when you combine base, bonus, per diem, and allowances
  • Competitive base salary (~$110K–$130K for Superintendents, up to ~$160K–$165K for Senior Superintendents)
  • Performance- and profitability-based bonus program (typically $20K–$30K for Superintendents, $50K+ for Senior Superintendents, with upside beyond)
  • Weekly per diem (~$1,246/week; ~$58K+/year on current projects) — largely tax-advantaged while traveling
  • Vehicle and fuel allowance (~$12,600/year)
  • Best-in-class medical (PPO + employer-funded HSA), dental, and vision
  • Employer-matched 401(k) (pre-tax + Roth), company-paid life/AD&D, plus voluntary disability, accident, critical illness, and pet insurance
  • Generous PTO (~18 days to start, ~23 at 5+ years), paid holidays, parental/family leave, sabbatical eligibility for field teams, tuition and wellness reimbursement
