Security Access Control Specialist

Job Description

You will review and process various security related documents used for requesting access to controlled and restricted areas, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and customer needs.

You will research, interpret, analyze and apply all appropriate security related policies and regulations.

You will work closely with appointed J-code security managers and action officers to ensure visitors and all personnel are authorized access and issued appropriate access control badges commensurate to visitor's security clearance eligibility.

You will troubleshoot all discrepancies and anomalies associated with the Integrated Physical Security System (IPSS).

You will correct, log and report all discrepancies/anomalies to the Integrated Physical Security System (IPSS) manager, Access Control Supervisor, Physical Security Specialist and Chief of Security.

You will implement security programs in conjunction with the Special Security Office (SSO) to ensure Top Secret/SCI access control badges and courier badges are issued in accordance with all DoD, DoN and HQ US PACOM policies and procedures.
