Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Part-Time Program Assistant to provide administrative and operational support for grant programs, professional development initiatives, and member engagement activities. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, multitasking, and supporting a collaborative team in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for program operations and grant activities.
  • Coordinate application materials, track submissions, and assist with award processing.
  • Respond to member and applicant inquiries regarding program guidelines and deadlines.
  • Maintain databases, program records, and electronic files across multiple systems.
  • Assist with grant reporting, donor research, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and occasional travel logistics for program participants.
  • Prepare communications, promotional materials, and website content updates.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely program communications.
  • Support additional administrative projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of administrative or program support experience.
  • Experience supporting nonprofit, higher education, research, or membership-based organizations is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with databases or content management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Political Science or related field is a plus but not required.
Additional Details:
  • Why is the role open? Temporary coverage for an employee on leave through late September.
  • Start Date: Early August (target start: 8/3)
  • Duration: Approximately 2 months with potential for extension based on business needs and budget.
  • Interview Process: One 30-minute virtual interview with the hiring manager.
  • Schedule: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week.
