The Events Data Associate will serve as a key analytical and operational resource for ***'s Governance and Events Team, providing data management and reporting support across a suite of event platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong data skills with events operations experience — someone who is equally comfortable pulling a Salesforce report, cleaning registration data in Cvent, and building a Power BI dashboard. Core platforms include: Salesforce (membership and committee records), Cvent (event registration, session management, and webpages), Attendee Hub (conference mobile app), Tableau, Power BI, Smartsheets, and SurveyMonkey.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute event attendee reports from Cvent; conduct data cleaning to ensure registration accuracy and resolve record discrepancies.
  • Produce pre- and post-event overviews capturing key metrics: member status, geography, professional segmentation, and attendance trends.
  • Send weekly registration tracking reports as events approach.
  • Create ad hoc reports from Cvent and Salesforce supporting analytical projects, data integrations, and marketing campaigns.
  • Build and maintain a data dashboard in Power BI.

Data Management & Platform Administration

  • Enter and maintain event session data across Cvent (website, speaker management) and Attendee Hub (mobile app).
  • Assist with event registration setup in Cvent, including custom registration paths for VIP groups.
  • Configure and manage the Cvent Abstract module for call-for-proposals workflows and submission reviews.
  • Review and update Client Committee records in Salesforce.
  • Maintain Smartsheets for data collection and committee tracking.
  • Set up and manage session monitoring and evaluations via SurveyMonkey and Signup.

Coordination & Communications

  • Monitor and respond to event inboxes with professionalism and clear written communication.
  • Support the expense reimbursement process for Committee members and main stage speakers.
  • Maintain and update the speaker resource portal in Cvent.
  • Provide support materials for committee meetings and kickoff presentations.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring processes.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Salesforce (Lightning) — report generation and record management
  • Cvent — event registration, session setup, and data exports
  • Advanced Excel — data cleaning, pivot tables, formulas
  • Strong written communication — clear, professional inbox and stakeholder correspondence
  • Attention to detail — comfortable catching and correcting data errors (name misspellings, duplicate records, etc.)

Preferred

  • Power BI and/or Tableau — dashboard creation and data visualization
  • Smartsheets and Microsoft Forms
  • Attendee Hub (conference mobile app management)
  • SurveyMonkey and Signup

Working Relationships & Logistics

  • Internal Contacts Regular collaboration with the Governance and Events Team staff
  • External Contacts Occasional contact with member institutions and education professionals
