Why it's a great opportunity: In this temporary role with Surface Water Management (SWM), you will be supporting the digitization and organization of records for the division. Maps, GIS data, historical documentation, property boundaries, flood zones and more are currently on multiple media sources. In an effort to be more efficient, these documents must be prepped, scanned, indexed, and saved to the server and/or archived through extensive quality control measures in accordance with the Washington State and Pierce County records retention policies. This will improve the processes and efficiency of the Pierce County SWM team.

How to be successful in the role: In this role your success will come from learning and using Pierce County policies and procedures for digitization and begin training in various software, equipment and electronic file systems.
