Sr. Associate Procurement (Remote - Puerto Rico)

Description:

Introduction
As a Senior Associate at Collins Aerospace, you will spearhead our procurement processes, standards, and operational strategies, leading in crafting RFPs, mastering negotiation tactics, and conducting cost analyses. You'll address production inquiries, manage electronic commodities, and ensure timely delivery to meet customer satisfaction and quality expectations.

Location: Santa Isabel, PR. Employees must reside in Puerto Rico at hiring time; relocation not offered. Position is hybrid.

Responsibilities

Carry out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.

Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Carry out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization's best interest.

Engage with functions outside of supply chain (Finance, Engineering, Operations, programs, etc.) to resolve medium to complex supply chain issues.

Be proactive to mitigate and minimize supply chain risks, preventing critical line stops.

Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to ensure a smooth procurement process, under general guidance.

Compile price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.

Prepare requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts.

Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries, ensuring resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.

Responsible for all aspects of supplier relationships within a commodity.

Ensure product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.

May perform delivery assurance responsibilities.

Qualifications You Must Have

A university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.

Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications We Prefer

Prior experience in supply chain, operations, procurement or a related field.

Prior SAP and/or procurement experience.
