This job is responsible for the prompt, fair adjudication and settlement of Extended Service Contract claims ensuring that all technical and fiscal data presented is properly vetted and cataloged in the claim file and the proper parties are paid if the claim is valid.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Maintain an extensive level of technical expertise for all heavy machine categories, this includes knowledge of the design and function of diesel, gas, and natural gas engines, manual, hydrostatic, automatic, CVT, planetary gear, splitter, and powershift transmissions, power transfer gearboxes, manually operated, pilot operated, servo operated and electronic controlled hydraulics systems, pneumatic systems, air conditioning systems, undercarriage systems, electrical systems, as well as digital electronics as these systems apply to all machine types.
- Interpret oil analysis reports.
- Settle claims based on experience and available data, fairly and quickly.
- Work with the dealers to ensure all required information is provided for claims adjudication and ensure all information is filed properly for future reference.
- Assist Dealer with issues related to the online claims system.
- Review Program Documents to ensure they are in line with current technology.
- Work with sales and accounting to handle customer issues related to the claims they settled.
- Gather and file machine technical information from available sources for the team as it becomes available.
- Work with accounting to ensure that claims reporting and payment is accurately processed.
- Work with IT to enhance and test the claims system thereby increasing efficiency.
- Assist VP with Internal / External Auditing.
- Review claims over $10,000.
- Mentor junior associates in claims procedures, efficient workflow and share technical expertise as it relates to claims they are processing.
What are the requirements needed for this position? - Heavy Equipment Maintenance Service Management degree or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Commercial Heavy Equipment or Agricultural Industry in service operations.
- Be able to read and comprehend Service Information as it relates to maintaining, servicing and repairing agricultural, mining, forestry, construction, and various other commercial equipment types.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess problems and solve them with a sense of urgency.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? - Associates degree in Agricultural/Mechanical Engineering Technology
- 15+ years' experience in the Commercial Heavy Equipment or Agricultural Industry in service operations

$88,000.00 - $147,000.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
