As a Director of Operations - Acute Division, you will serve as a senior operations leader responsible for driving performance across multiple healthcare textile facilities.

This role partners closely with executive leadership to execute strategic initiatives, scale operations, and standardize best practices-ensuring each facility consistently delivers exceptional results in quality, safety, customer service, and financial performance.

You will play a critical role in supporting NOVO's continued growth-both organic and through acquisition-by strengthening plant-level leadership, driving disciplined execution, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.

What You'll Do

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Provide executive-level leadership across multiple healthcare laundry facilities, ensuring alignment with NOVO's mission, CultureWise principles, and business objectives
  • Translate enterprise strategy into actionable operational plans that drive scalability, performance, and long-term sustainability
  • Build and reinforce a culture of operational discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement
Operational Excellence & Standardization
  • Lead operational excellence initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities and delivering measurable gains in efficiency, quality, safety, and cost performance
  • Ensure consistent execution across production, maintenance, transportation (DOT), safety, quality, and facility support functions
  • Develop and refine standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all locations
  • Partner with plant leadership to optimize productivity, labor utilization, capacity planning, and workflow efficiency
Financial & Business Leadership
  • Own operating budgets for assigned facilities and ensure alignment with financial targets
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Monitor KPIs, identify variances, and drive corrective actions
  • Support capital planning and investment decisions
People Leadership & Talent Development
  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing General Managers and leadership teams
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures
  • Partner with HR to attract, develop, and retain top talent
  • Foster a positive, high-accountability, and union-free work environment
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, HLAC, and all applicable regulations
  • Maintain audit-ready operations and proactively mitigate risk
Executive Partnership & Communication
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to enterprise strategy
  • Lead operational reviews and leadership meetings to drive alignment and results
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in a multi-site environment
  • Proven experience leading manufacturing, industrial, healthcare services, or similar operational environments
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, process improvement, and performance optimization
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
  • Experience developing and leading high-performing leadership teams
  • Strong knowledge of safety, compliance, and regulatory standards (OSHA, DOT, or similar)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Preferred:
  • Experience in industrial healthcare textiles, or healthcare services
  • Experience supporting growth through acquisitions, integrations, or multi-site scaling
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement mindset
  • Familiarity with CMMS, ERP, or operational reporting systems
