Senior Accountant (Perm) Location: Dallas - 645 & Royal Lane Schedule: Hybrid (on-site Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)
Key Responsibilities
Support month-end close activities for assigned geographic regions, including completion of assigned close checklist items.
Prepare and post assigned journal entries in accordance with company policy.
Prepare and maintain assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
Analyze assigned P&L variance accounts and support monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical reviews.
Partner with stakeholders to review monthly profit and loss statements and provide useful insights.
Assist with audit support and interface with internal and external audit teams as needed.
Assist with the annual budget process and periodic re-forecasts.
Assist in the preparation of estimated tax calculations and responses to federal and state tax notices.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and improve reporting.
Participate in special projects as assigned.
Must-Have Qualifications to be considered
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
5-7 years of relevant accounting experience.
Inventory accounting and retail accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Advanced proficiency in Excel.
Must be comfortable completing an Excel assessment that will be shared prior to an official client interview.
Comfortable working in a more manual accounting environment (not highly automated).
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to pass required background check and drug screening (and Motor Vehicle Record check if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
Public accounting experience and/or CPA.
Financial reporting experience.
System implementation experience.
ASC 606 experience.
Billing experience.
Private equity industry experience.
Experience with JD Edwards (JDE).
