Senior ITSM Engineer / Architect

Responsibilities

As a Senior ITSM Engineer supporting the client, your role will span the development and maturation of the processes, data, and tools that support the Cyber Operations functions across our client's organization to deliver Cyberspace capabilities to end-users at expected or higher than agreed upon service levels. You will operate, protect, and defend the resources that support the delivery of capabilities. This role involves a combination of technology management, process management, the management of related tool sets, and codifying workflows within a new capability to support Situational Awareness (SA) and Command and Control (C2) requirements by employing decision analytics through data science (DS) principles & solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver overall project communication to relay progress and issues to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and analyze existing capabilities and enhance ITSM ecosystem by eliminating redundancies and streamlining systems and processes.
  • Analyze & deliver current state data to incorporate data analytics for more efficient and automated operations.
  • Deliver and support event correlation capabilities with root cause analysis of operations through dashboard visualization with mission context and drill-down capabilities to assist with troubleshooting activities.
  • Conduct analysis of alternatives of commercial technologies that enable centralized SA and C2 capability to increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility of operational health and status of cyber resources.
  • Provide regular feedback to stakeholders on delivery versus expectation.
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
  • Bachelors in IT, or similar related technical degree, and/or equivalent education and experience
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in ITSM related projects with progressive responsibilities
  • Experience with working with cross functional teams to provide FCAP/ITIL/ITSM expertise
  • Responsible for overall technical direction of solution delivery
  • Knowledge of technical areas in Distributed Systems, data communications, disaster recovery, industry frameworks (TMF, COBIT, ITU, ITIL, etc.) related to IT Operations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and an ability to convey technical and business principles, and influence option of technical change
  • Experience working with API integration / development to aggregate views for operational health and status
Desired
  • Experience with design/architecture or Operational Support Systems
  • ITIL V3 certification
  • DevOps experience
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applied to IT Operations (AIOps)
  • Active Secret or TS/SCI
  • Masters in IT, or similar related technical degree
