PeopleSoft Financials Developer
ERP Migration & Legacy System Analysis
Remote
Long-term / ongoing engagement
This role is part development, part investigation.
You'll be working on a critical ERP migration where the existing system doesn't just get replaced, it has to be understood first. That means digging into legacy .NET code, figuring out how it works, and making sure nothing important gets lost as it moves into PeopleSoft.
We're looking for a PeopleSoft Financials Developer who can handle both sides of that. Someone who can work inside PeopleSoft, but also step back into a legacy system, break down the logic, and translate it into something usable for the new environment.
Must haves
• 8+ years of development experience supporting ERP systems
• At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleTools
• Experience working with PeopleTools 8.59 or higher
• Strong experience working with Oracle databases
• Ability to read and interpret .NET code (C#, VB.NET) and SQL Server stored procedures
• Experience supporting complex legacy to PeopleSoft data migrations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to document and explain technical logic
Nice to have
• Experience working in public sector environments (federal, state, or local)
• Experience with CAPPS Financials
• Experience using Jira
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Here's what the work looks like.
You'll analyze a legacy system built on .NET, reverse-engineer business logic, and help extract and translate that logic into the new PeopleSoft environment. At the same time, you'll be doing standard PeopleSoft development, supporting integration, testing, and overall system functionality.
You'll work through the full SDLC, from analysis to development to testing, and help ensure the new system reflects how the business actually operates. Documentation is a big part of this role, especially when translating legacy logic for the broader team.
There may be times where project timelines require off-hours support depending on the phase, but the core schedule is standard weekday hours.
At iSphere, we look for developers who can step into complex environments, figure things out, and move projects forward without needing everything spelled out. If you're comfortable working across legacy systems and modern ERP platforms, this one will fit.
If you're looking for a long-term remote opportunity with a strong chance of extension, let's talk.
