Day Shift Security Officer

Shift: Day shifts: 6am-2pm (Sun - Thur)

Salary: $25/ Hourly

Requirements:

• Preferred Security Experience (1+ Years)
• Ability to complete all Hospital In-person Training prior to onboarding
• Must meet all Hospital Vaccination Requirements
• Valid Driver's License required

Kona Hospital Responsibilities Include:

• Strong report writing and documentation skills
• Ability to lift 100 lbs. or more
• Comfortable in Emergency Room settings with exposure to trauma cases
• Moving cadavers between units and transporting via van
• Supporting helicopter medical operations including patient transportation and traffic control

Officers will:

• Assist staff with psychiatric or behavioral disorder patients
• Help safely restrain combative or self-harm individuals
• Conduct one-on-one patient watches for high-risk patients

Applicants must:

• Have reliable transportation and demonstrate punctual attendance
• Be comfortable in high-stress situations involving irate visitors or patients
• Adapt to rapidly changing scenarios and communicate effectively
• Possess basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Check and respond to hospital email communications
