VICP/CICP Medical Case Reviewer - PhD/Advanced Non-MD - Remote (#R10247)

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Employment Type: Contract (Case-Based Consulting)

Hourly Rate: $89.38/hour

Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Case Reviewer (PhD/Advanced Clinician) to apply advanced scientific or clinical training to review complex vaccine and countermeasure injury cases, evaluate causation, and support federal compensation decisions.

Qualifications:

Job qualifications & certifications:
  • PhD or other advanced clinical degree (e.g., Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Nurse Anesthetist, Nurse Midwife, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Physical Therapist, PT Assistant, LPN/LVN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current affiliation with a U.S. academic medical center or comparable institution.
  • Subject-matter expertise in a relevant field (e.g., Immunology, Neurology, Epidemiology, Infectious Disease, Pediatrics, etc.), supported by publications, research, and/or academic teaching.
  • At least 3 years' experience writing medical case reviews/evaluations for injury compensation and demonstrated proficiency in typing and documentation.
  • If in clinical practice, currently in practice or left within the last 5 years.
Desired experience:
  • Prior work with vaccine safety, pharmacovigilance, or injury compensation programs.
  • Familiarity with federal health programs or litigation support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and analyze complete case files for adequacy of data, medical plausibility, and alternative causes.
  • Prepare draft and final written reports addressing eligibility for compensation, causation, and factors unrelated under statute.
  • Consult with Team Lead, physician experts, and counsel as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary panel discussions and contribute to consensus recommendations.
  • Manage assigned cases through adjudication and comply with federal records-management, privacy, and security requirements.
