Summary:
Greentech Renewables is the nation's leading solar equipment distributor. Greentech Renewables distributes a full range of solar equipment to thousands of contractors throughout the United States, Caribbean, and Latin America, enabling solar installers to easily and cost-effectively design, sell, and install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
The Production Model Specialist is responsible for creating accurate, code-aligned, and scalable residential solar production models using Aurora and other approved modeling tools. This role is responsible for building, validating, and optimizing energy production simulations that support system design, permitting, and customer performance expectations.
Reports to: Design Production Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years of experience working in the solar industry
1+ years of experience with spreadsheets
ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:

Ability to follow detailed instructions while considering multiple variables
Displays a high level of organizational and time management
Ability to independently work with self-direction and decision making
High level of communication skills to ensure smooth project flow between multiple stakeholders (parties)

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Ability to follow standardized processes while identifying improvement opportunities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Aurora Solar or similar PV modeling software
Understanding of residential solar system design principles
Familiarity with shading analysis and performance assumptions
Working Conditions:
Remote work with multiple weekly check-ins
Work standard business hours of 8am to 5pm
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Essential Job Functions:
Create residential solar production models in Aurora and other approved tools
Verify system performance assumptions including shading, orientation, tilt, and equipment selection
Perform QA/QC on production simulations to ensure accuracy and consistency
Identify and correct modeling errors or performance discrepancies
Maintain alignment with company standards, utility requirements, and regional production assumptions
Support design, engineering, and permitting teams with modeling-related needs
Document modeling best practices and contribute to process improvements
Help scale modeling workflows to improve speed without sacrificing accuracy
Communicate proactively and effectively with Manager and Design Leads to ensure accurate production modeling
Manage & maintain progress in multiple projects simultaneously in the absence of direct supervision
Contribute ideas for process & systems improvement independently

Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $40000 to $45000 annually.
