Job Description

Skilled MIG and TIG Welder with experience in sheet metal fabrication. Proficient in welding thin-gauge materials with precision and maintaining high-quality standards. Able to read blueprints, perform accurate welds, and ensure strong, clean finishes while following safety and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders

Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and settings

Ensure weld quality, strength, and appearance meet specifications

Measure, cut, and fit metal parts prior to welding

Inspect finished welds and make repairs as needed

Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel

Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Job Requirements

Skills

• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
• Ability to weld thin-gauge sheet metal with precision
• Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
• Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills
• Knowledge of welding symbols and measurements
• Attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to use hand tools, grinders, and measuring tools
• Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines

Qualifications

• Previous MIG/TIG welding experience in a sheet metal or fabrication setting
• Welding certification (preferred but not required)
• Understanding of welding safety standards and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift materials as needed
• Knowledge of safety practices in handling chemicals, working with high temperatures, and using electrostatic equipment.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle parts of varying weights and sizes.
• 18 years or older
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience

Additional Information

Pay Range: $25-$85

Location: Ventura County

Pay Rate: $25.00+/hour
Job Type: Temporary / As-needed basis
