Position Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Security Guard ensures the safety of HICHC property and personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe, document, and report activities and incidents.
• Watch for irregular conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department in emergencies.
• Preserve order and enforce regulations.
• Patrol assigned site; check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• Respond to incidents like fire, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials.
• Monitor parking lots for authorized vehicles.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and suspicious activities.
• Assist patients, employees, and visitors courteously.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Obtain and maintain required security licensure.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Effective communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to assess situations and identify critical issues quickly.
