Job Title: VP, Social Strategy
Location-Type: Remote
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: 3 months (contract, part-time, potential to extend and/or convert)
Compensation Range: $75-$82/hr
This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)

Job Description:
The VP, Social Strategy will lead social-first strategic thinking for a major consumer technology brand, providing culturally relevant insights and guiding daily social content strategy in close partnership with creative teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Develop and guide social-first strategy for consumer-facing technology products
  • Monitor social platforms and identify cultural trends, insights, and conversation opportunities
  • Partner closely with creative teams to inform and shape daily social content development
  • Provide strategic input to social "writers' room style content creation environments
  • Translate cultural insights and social listening into actionable creative direction
  • Support fast-paced social execution while maintaining strategic alignment with brand goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams across time zones to ensure consistent social strategy
Requirements:
  • Must-Haves:
    • 8 years of experience in social strategy, ideally at the VP or senior leadership level
    • Recent agency experience working with consumer-facing technology brands
    • Deep understanding of social platforms, internet culture, and "language of the feeds
    • Strong background in cultural insights and social listening
    • Experience supporting B2C technology brands (software platforms or tech-driven services)
    • Ability to collaborate closely with creative teams and pivot quickly in fast-moving environments
    • Experience working within ambiguous environments and adapting to evolving priorities
    • Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week during core business hours
  • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Experience supporting major technology platforms or digital-first consumer brands
    • Experience working in rapid-response social or "writers' room style environments
    • Familiarity with consumer productivity or software ecosystems
