job summary:
A Site Activation Lead is needed for an American defense, aviation, information technology, and biomedical research company. Remote work. This role requires experience to oversee the large-scale deployment and technical installation of FAA air traffic systems using technical leadership and cost account management skills.

responsibilities:

  • Lead the Site Deployment Team in support of FAA programs including TFDM, TBFM, and ERAM.

  • Coordinate planning and staffing for both internal employees and sub-contractors.

  • Provide daily status updates on site surveys and implementation to company and FAA Program Management.

  • Synchronize deployment activities across Hardware, Network, Test, QA, and Configuration Management teams.

  • Develop and maintain an integrated master schedule covering site surveys through to government acceptance.

  • Track and resolve FAA and company site survey action items to ensure readiness for implementation.

  • Oversee the preparation of contract-required drawings and technical documentation.

  • Provide technical expertise for hardware procurement, rack builds, shipping, and system installation.

  • Manage post-installation operations and maintenance support based on FAA requests.

  • Utilize Cost Account Management skills to oversee budgets and schedules within program parameters.
Skills:

  • Experience conducting a site survey in an operational facility for rack-based IT equipment and desktop PCs.

  • Experience installing rack-based IT equipment and desktop PCs in an operational 24/7 facility concurrent with operations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to personal and corporate excellence, ethical behavior and integrity.

  • Prior experience in a technical leadership role that requires significant coordination across multiple functional areas.

  • Prior experience with cost accounting / earned value management/ownership.

  • Planning and Cost estimating experience.

  • Experience in team building, customer focus.
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

  • With 10+ years of professional experience.
