Job:DCED - TAS3 A4 SC2 (Full Stack Application Developer)

Location REMOTE ***The selected candidate will go to the 4th floor of The Keystone Building (400 North Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120) to pick up their commonwealth-issued equipment on their first day and possibly do badging.***

The candidate will be a member of a dynamic team responsible for maintenance & support, creating, and implementing application solutions built in .NET for DCED's Application portfolio.

***This requisition will feature first round interviews via Teams.***

***Start date for this position is 1/2/2024. ***

***This requisition's current PO is funded through 6/30/2024, with plans for extension.***

Economic Development is looking for a mid to senior level resource with strong overall knowledge/understanding of full stack application development. They will be part of the DCED's Application Maintenance and Support Team. This team will be responsible for routine maintenance and support, Incident Management and Change Management for DCED's Application Portfolio. They are responsible for production service failures resolutions, emergency release for application outages, root cause analysis, after-action reporting, trouble shooting, reporting service, data extracts and data corrections, technology upgrades, scheduling change releases, design, coding, component, and assembly testing of application code.

The candidate will be responsible for
• Ensure the continued availability, functionality, improvement, and longevity of DCED's applications.
• Support existing business applications.
• Manage application knowledge base to ensure continuity via documentation, collaboration with the team, and sharing knowledge.
• Extend the life of DCED's applications by enhancing them to meet business needs and keep pace with technology.
• Strive to improve customer satisfaction and collaboration with business users.
• Responsible for daily operational needs of business and development team.
• Follow, support, and implement Division's strategy and vision for DCED's IT application portfolio.

Required Skills and Experience:

5 years of 'real' hands-on working experience is required. This excludes 'experience' earned academically and/or internship.
• Required: 5+ years of ASP.NET web development experience, and VB.Net and/or C#.
• Required: 5+ years of MVC, Java Script/JQuery, JSON, and WebAPI
• Required: 3+ years of database modeling/development experience; experience with SQL Server.
• Required: 2+ years of SSRS Report Builder skills.
• Required: 2+ years of HTML5/CSS3 and Bootstrap framework.
• Required: 2+ years of DevOps and familiar with the SCRUM/iterative/waterfall development.
• Experience with ITSM. Including Remedy & ServiceNow
• Experience with any modernization project is ideal.
• Prior experience with MS Access systems preferred.
• Experience with Customer Service is ideal.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
