We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant. This position will be on eligible for a hybrid work schedule working 3 days onsite in Clinton, TN and two days remote each. Salary: Up to $95,000 per year, depending upon experience.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant provides support in all areas of Finance & Accounting. Ensure accurate and timely capture of financial transactions from subsidiary systems and manual journal entries in the general ledger. Provide general ledger accounting support and reporting to internal (senior management, functional areas, and department heads) and external customers (bank, external auditors).

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting
  • Prepare general journal entries
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Provide various supporting schedules for the Company's annual external financial audit, as requested
  • Asset reporting and depreciation utilizing Bloomberg.
  • Report sale and use tax information for various states, and annual 1099 & property tax reporting
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
  • Perform general accounting and related duties for all company divisions
Payroll
  • Process timecards and process weekly payroll
  • Reconcile withholding amounts and benefit payments
  • Prepare payroll journal entries
Banking and Accounts Payable
  • Processes ACH/wire payments and maintains vendor banking information
  • Record daily miscellaneous bank transactions
  • Assists with the management of various expense card programs (Concur)
  • Verify/dispute credit card charges
  • Support accounts payable with vendor reconciliation, clearing goods received, and vendor master data
Department Support
  • Provide general administrative support including electronic and physical file organization and retrieval, copying materials and conducting electronic or fax correspondence as needed
  • Identifies and documents opportunities to further strengthen the Company's internal control environment
  • Performs other recurring duties as assigned, including ad hoc projects and analysis
Miscellaneous
  • Participates in company initiatives including safety, lean, and other as required


Education/ Experience:

Accounting degree with a minimum 5 years' experience

Salary is up to $95,000/yr.
