Job Title: Head Chef Remote Mining Camp (Northern Washington)Schedule: 14/14 rotation (on-site housing & meals provided) Pay: $24 $32/hr + overtime + perksAbout the RoleWere looking for a seasoned Head Chef / Lead Cook to lead kitchen production for our 100-person remote mining camp in Northern Washington. Youll be responsible for planning and executing high-calorie, nutritionally balanced menus (4,000+ calories/day), supervising cooks and prep staff, maintaining food quality and safety, overseeing portion control and minimizing waste all in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily kitchen operations and meal production for 100 workers, ensuring consistency, quality, and timeliness. Plan and execute high-calorie, satisfying menus suitable for physically demanding work schedules.Supervise, train, and support kitchen cooks and prep staff; enforce kitchen standards and procedures. Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Manage inventory, portion control, waste reduction, and ordering of food supplies and ingredients. Ensure proper storage, food rotation, and temperature control. Work collaboratively with camp leadership to optimize kitchen operations.Required QualificationsProven experience in high-volume cooking, institutional food service, or similar culinary environment. Strong leadership and team management skills; capable of directing kitchen staff effectively. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills under pressure. Current Food Worker Card and ServSafe Manager certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.
