The Health Sciences & Technology Academy (HSTA) at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a (Hybrid) Community Research Specialist.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Community Research Specialist to join our team, specializing in facilitating research projects with high school teachers and their students. The ideal candidate for this HYBRID position will live in WV and will guide educators in developing, implementing, and analyzing community research initiatives and projects. This role demands proficiency in statistics, analysis, pedagogy, and effective communication to foster strong partnerships and facilitate research endeavors. Must be willing to travel.
Area: South-central HSTA regions of WV, counties which include Webster, Braxton, Roane, Clay, Gilmer, Wyoming, Calhoun, Greenbrier, Fayette, Kanawha, Cabell, Lincoln, Boone, McDowell and others as needed and assigned.

What You'll Do
• Guide educators in developing, implementing, and analyzing community research initiatives and projects.
• Facilitating research projects with HSTA high school teachers and their students and the HSTA program.
• Teaching and communicate skills to foster strong partnerships and facilitate research endeavors.
• Organizational, data analysis with effective teaching and communication skill
• Developing research data and collection system
• Lead large group events and provide effective training.
• Ability to deliver compelling oral and written reports at state and national levels.
• Ability to translate instruct and translate complex topics to high school student
