Article Student Living is hiring an HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. The HR Coordinator provides support to employees and managers across our property portfolio and home office. You will manage operational and complex HR processes, including employee record management, benefits administration, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations. You will be an important member of the HR team, ensuring accurate processes, regulatory compliance, and positive employee experience across the organization.

You will report to the HR Director.
You will work on-site at our Chicago, IL office Monday-Thursday and from home on Fridays.
The salary range for this role is $55K - $60K, plus an annual bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Be a primary HR contact for employees and managers, providing support and escalating complex issues to HR leadership
- Administer HRIS, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure compliance with legal and internal policies
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, creating a seamless experience for new hires and departing employees
- Support employee benefits administration and partner with external providers to resolve inquiries
- Maintain HR documentation, intranet content, and compliance reporting (e.g., EEO-1, OSHA)
- Develop and deliver resources and guidance for managers to support HR practices
- Contribute to HR projects, training programs, and employee engagement programs
Your Track Record: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- At least 1 year of HR or related experience
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience managing confidential information
