Job Description:
As a Data Scientist, you will transform raw data into actionable insights and scalable machine learning solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with SQL DBAs, business teams, source data owners, and analytics groups to solve complex problems, develop analytical models, and contribute to the creation of a scalable data science infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist stakeholders in translating business challenges into data science problems and analytical solutions.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Assist in developing, validating, and deploying machine learning models.
• Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
• Assist in designing and analyzing A/B experiments.
• Assist in building predictive and prescriptive models.
• Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data engineers to deploy and operationalize models.
• Assist in monitoring the performance of deployed models and retrain when necessary.
• Contribute to data science best practices, documentation, and standardization efforts.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and related libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Solid understanding of statistics and probability.
• Experience building and validating machine learning models including classification, regression, clustering, and neural networks.
• Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of MLOps tools such as MLflow, Airflow, or Docker.
• Experience deploying models into SDLC environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex results into practical business insights.
• Self-starter with strong ownership mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in team-oriented environments.
• Experience in criminal justice or related domains is a plus.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
