Project Role: Product Owner
Summary
The Services Technology team is directly responsible for the technology strategy and delivery of solutions and IT systems used to enable all lines of business across Apple services. The Product Owner maintains a strong awareness of the processes and systems utilized by all lines of business. In partnership with product, design, and development teams, this role is responsible for tracking action items and alleviating any issues to enable the team(s) to work efficiently and at maximum capacity. A blend of studio/entertainment business and technical acumen coupled with business analysis/Scrum/product-focused disciplines is critical to success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Document existing process workflows and make recommendations on process improvements, then work with stakeholders to implement
• Lead and participate in the development of functional requirements • Collaborate with business partners to identify and document technology needs
• Create and communicate rollout of various modules, functionality and new system features to relevant stakeholders
• Effectively translate user requirements to Engineers
• Partner with business stakeholder to define product roadmap and translate business visions to business requirements and application features for in-house solution for document intake and distribution
• Lead business analysis and cost benefit analysis to make recommendations on system and process solutions
• Conduct fit-gap analysis for in-house solution and comparable third-party solution for document delivery and distribution related to all phases of workflows
• Responsible for drafting project plan, business requirements documents, functional specification documents
• Lead and/or participate in the development of functional requirements
• Lead and/or participate in test planning and testing activities
• Lead and/or participate in training planning, documentation and delivery
• Collaborate with Product/Project Managers, Development Teams, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
• Ensure the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise
• Track and remove obstacles that prevent the team from providing business value
• Tracking and monitoring daily tasks of all teams to ensure it aligns with timeline and priorities
• Track and follow-up on all action items and blockers which arose from meetings or discussions to ensure they are implemented or addressed
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of trends and best practices within the organization
• Create and communicate deployment schedules of new system features to relevant
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of agile practices within the organization
• Collaborate with technical leads and architects to ensure alignment with technical strategies and standards
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding of project requirements
Key Qualifications
• Hands-on experience defining and documenting process flows
• Entertainment workflow familiarity and related experience required
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred; PMP/Agile/Scrum Certification a plus
• Experience with Airtable or similar no-code/low-code platforms
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent communication skills are critical
• Experience working in the media and entertainment industry (production/post production/studio/music services/studio, etc.) and knowledge of the industry's various workflows and its unique challenges
• Extensive experience defining and documenting processes & workflows
• Extensive analysis experience, requirements writing, and excellent problem-solving abilities
• Excellent client engagement skills - communicates effectively with personnel at all levels, fostering a collaborative environment encouraging diverse viewpoints
• Experience developing training materials, writing technical specs, and hosting UAT testing sessions, trainings, etc.
• Can thrive with minimal supervision, able to take initiative and be a self-starter
• Significant experience building, maintaining, and adjusting a complex project plan and roadmap with multiple dependencies
• Experience with project scenario planning, proposing various implementation approaches based on multiple dependencies
