Patient Services Representative

Hawaii Island Community Health Center (HICHC)
Location: Kuakini
Pay: $18.50 - $21.76 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

About the Position

Hawaii Island Community Health Center is looking for a Patient Services Representative (PSR) to join our Kuakini team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for anyone interested in starting a career in healthcare, customer service, or administrative support.

The PSR is often the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience. No medical background is required-just strong communication skills, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients for scheduled and walk-in appointments
  • Update patient records and contact information
  • Collect payments and assist with insurance questions
  • Schedule appointments
  • Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate department
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service
  • Support clinic operations as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months to one year of related experience (customer service, office work, reception, etc.)
