Insight Global is seeking an IAM Analyst / IAM Engineer (Mid-Level) to support and document applications and systems tied into the enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) environment. This role will focus on organizing identity-related data, documenting application integrations, supporting Okta configurations, and building operational runbooks for internal teams.

This role supports a modern IAM ecosystem that includes Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, MFA solutions, and privileged access tools. Rather than owning architecture decisions, this person will partner closely with senior IAM engineers, security teams, and application owners to understand how applications are tied into the identity system, document those integrations, and turn technical configurations into clear, repeatable guidance.

On a typical day, this person might review applications connected to Okta, document authentication and provisioning profiles, organize identity data into standardized formats, or create step-by-step runbooks that explain access requests, provisioning, and deprovisioning processes. They'll also help with discovery, support process improvements, and make sure IAM documentation stays accurate, audit-ready, and easy for teams to follow.

This role is a great fit for someone who's been exposed to IAM platforms (especially Okta) and enjoys organizing information, documenting systems, and supporting identity operations in an enterprise environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support applications integrated with the IAM environment, including SSO and MFA
• Document application authentication flows, identity dependencies, and access models
• Organize identity and access data into standardized, easy-to-follow formats
• Help document Okta configurations, including SSO, MFA, and Universal Directory profiles
• Create and maintain runbooks and SOPs that clearly explain IAM processes
• Partner with senior IAM engineers on updates, integrations, and modernization efforts
• Participate in discovery sessions with application owners and security teams
• Keep IAM documentation current, accurate, and audit-ready

This is a fully remote 6 month contract role required to work MST hours and pays $10-15/ hour

Required Skills & Experience
• 5-7 years of experience in IAM, application support, security operations, or related roles
• Hands-on exposure to Okta (SSO, MFA, Universal Directory, or application integrations)
• Working knowledge of:
o Active Directory and core identity concepts
o Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
o MFA technologies
• Experience documenting technical systems or operational processes
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable translating technical info into clear written documentation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting applications tied to IAM systems
• Familiarity with LDAP, MIM, or other legacy identity platforms
• Experience creating runbooks or SOPs
• Exposure to identity governance or access reviews
• Basic Python scripting for automation, data cleanup, or identity-related reporting
• Okta or Microsoft identity certifications
