Position Overview: As a Housekeeping Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and common areas through the deep cleaning of window treatments, upholstered items, carpets, and tile floors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize various cleaning techniques and heavy equipment to ensure carpets and upholstery are thoroughly cleaned. This role involves continuous physical activity, including lifting, bending, and scrubbing.
• Before cleaning, vacuum carpets and upholstery, and be sure to post safety signs in areas being cleaned.
• Address stains and debris, including gum removal and repairing cigarette burns in carpets and upholstery, ensuring a neat appearance. You'll need to use brushes, cloths, and designated chemical agents effectively.
• Maintain and clean your equipment and tools, ensuring everything is in good working order. Promptly notify management of any equipment malfunctions.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Background in cleaning upholstered items, carpets, and/or window treatments is a plus.
• Grooming: All team members must present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of stain removal techniques, chemical cleaning agents, and operation of industrial shampooing equipment.
• Ability to learn and apply hazardous chemical standards during the introductory training period.
• Capable of maneuvering heavy commercial equipment, with the ability to push, pull or hold up to 50-100 lbs, while standing for extended periods.
• Basic comprehension of the English language to understand safety labels and cleaning instructions.
