Description:

DPP is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support an enterprise-wide MRO initiative.

Location: Mostly remote; some onsite in Shalimar, FL as needed
Duration: 6-12 months, with possible conversion after 12 months
Term: W2 position

Position summary:

  • We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support enterprise initiatives focused on MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) systems, aviation asset tracking, and process optimization.
  • This role will work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, support system integrations, and ensure MRO-related data and workflows are aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience with aviation maintenance systems, particularly Resada (Veryon Tracking+) or any MRO tool/software, is highly preferred. This is a standard BSA role requiring strong systems analysis skills, documentation expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.
  • The ideal candidate is a clear communicator, collaborative, organized, and comfortable working across multiple technical teams.
Key responsibilities:
  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements related to MRO workflows, aviation asset tracking, and enterprise maintenance systems.
  • Support execution of IT projects across application development, system integrations, business intelligence, and other functional areas.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, product teams, engineers, and stakeholders to clarify needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and efficiency related to MRO operations.
  • Develop requirements documentation, process flows, specifications, and data mapping artifacts.
  • Provide support during testing, validation, and deployment phases.
  • Assist with analysis of system integration touchpoints and metadata needed for implementation.
  • Participate in planning, execution tracking, and change management activities.
  • Adapt quickly to a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting project priorities.
Required education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • Higher-level education may substitute for required experience.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting business needs and translating them into actionable requirements.
  • Familiarity with requirements documentation tools (Visio, Word, Excel, Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Basic SQL knowledge, including ability to perform simple queries for requirements validation.
  • Understanding of project planning and execution tools such as MS Project.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and analysis methodologies.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Experience with MRO tools/software (e.g., Resada/Veryon Tracking+, TRAX, AMOS, Ramco, or similar).
  • Experience working in aviation, aerospace, or MRO environments.
  • Ability to obtain or hold a Scrum Master certification.
  • Experience with data mapping, integration documentation, and system metadata.
  • Experience working on enterprise-scale systems or aviation maintenance platforms.
