Shift Supervisor

Description:

PURPOSE

The Shift Supervisor reports directly to the General Manager and plays a crucial role in helping the restaurant meet its people, operational, and financial goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Essential Functions

People

  • Assist the General Manager in achieving staffing and development goals.
  • Support the GM in monitoring and enhancing employee morale.
  • Provide hands-on coaching to staff to promote growth and efficiency.

Financial

  • Help the GM meet sales and profit objectives.
  • Act swiftly to address daily financial control issues.

Operations

  • Ensure delivery of quality, service, and cleanliness standards in accordance with franchise operational guidelines.
  • Supervise proper food preparation, rotation, portioning, cooking, and holding times.

Health and Safety - Self

  • Prioritize safety for all employees and ensure a risk-free environment.
  • Take reasonable care of your own health and safety, ensuring actions do not harm others.
  • Engage in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace by following policies and procedures.
  • Report any work-related injuries, accidents, or safety hazards to management.

Ensure Consistent Customer Satisfaction:

  • Execute daily responsibilities under people, customer, and service priorities effectively.
  • Ensure all team members complete their Shift Excellence tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance among staff.
  • Demonstrate that customer needs are the top priority.
  • Guarantee food safety, quality, and order accuracy.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly, maintaining positive relationships.

Other Functions

Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.

Physical and/or Medical Requirements

  • Must obtain a Tuberculosis Clearance Certificate.

Compensation: $19.50 per hour. Note: Many Taco Bell restaurants are independently operated franchises, which control their own hiring policies and benefits. Please check state and local requirements for specifics. Franchisees are responsible for their own restaurant operations.
