The Opportunity
Nesco Resource is partnering with a globally established organization to identify a Customer Service Representative to join their Houston-based team. The Customer Service Representative will serve as a key point of contact for both internal and external customers, ensuring a high level of service through proactive outreach, timely communication, and close collaboration across functions. Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive loyalty, satisfaction, and retention
• Deliver exceptional service through proactive customer communication, issue resolution, and follow-up
• Support growth of existing accounts by identifying opportunities to improve service, increase volume, and enhance the customer experience
• Conduct outbound outreach to new and existing customers to identify decision-makers, service needs, and potential business opportunities
• Analyze customer data, buying patterns, and demand trends to anticipate changes and provide market intelligence to internal teams
• Identify and support process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Balance cost and service considerations in alignment with both customer expectations and business objectives
• Collaborate closely with supply chain, operations, sales, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless order fulfillment
• Monitor customer erosion and order trends to help retain existing business and support new order growth

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
• 2+ years of experience in a corporate or business environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required) and web-based applications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and basic math skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and applications simultaneously
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to identify and respond to customer needs effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Background in customer service, supply chain, sales support, or operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment
