Nesco Resource is partnering with a well-respected law firm in Uniondale that's looking to add a detail-oriented AR Specialist to their growing Accounting team. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work in a fast-paced, professional environment.

What you'll be doing:

Accounts Receivable
You'll play a key role in managing incoming payments, including recording wire transfers, processing checks and credit card payments, and applying payments to outstanding client balances. You'll also help research and resolve payments that come in without clear remittance details and assist with accounts receivable write-offs when needed.

Escrow/Trust Accounting
You'll support escrow and trust activity in line with firm procedures and assist with preparing monthly escrow bank reconciliations.

Additional Responsibilities
This role also provides backup support for daily cash reports and vendor payments, along with assisting on special projects and ad hoc requests as they come up.

What we're looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 1 year of accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with Aderant is a plus, but not required

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly. You should be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, communicating clearly, and working collaboratively in a team setting.
