Initiative: Multiple/cross-program support.
Programmatic need being met by this request: Support program and project administrative tasks such as contract entry into NYSERDA IT systems, review of RFPs and contracting documents for completeness, coordination between cross-functional administrative teams to support procurements and open solicitations.
Where the work will be performed: Remote, option to visit in NYC/Albany office if desired
Location of Resource: Remote, option to visit in NYC/Albany office if desired
Is travel required for this position: Minimal to none
Is any equipment required to be provided by the contractor or will be provided by NYSERDA for this position? Contractor must have PC, web camera, cell phone, and reliable high-speed internet available for assignment while remote, but NYSERDA will provide a workstation when onsite

Has demonstrated a basic understanding of fundamental analytical principles. Knowledgeable in at least one technical or programmatic area in which the Authority is currently involved. Has awareness of relevant energy related aspects of research, environmental science and economics. Basic skills include an ability to interpret and analyze. Ability to produce quality communications, and demonstrate an aptitude to learn.

Creativity in Project & Program Development
Implements task and project ideas suggested by others. Assists other project managers to develop and manage projects, or manages own projects under close supervision.

Organization Skills & Productivity
Is productive on assignments but dependent on others for direction. Has capability to manage technical and cost control aspects of multiple on-going projects with close supervision. Approaches tasks logically and makes effective use of time and resources in performing work

Primary Responsibilities, and Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

Strong project management skills to be able to handle multiple requests at the same time
Process oriented and ability to quickly learn internal NYSERDA contracting processes and how to use NYSERDA Finance/CRM systems
ttention to detail, especially with data entry and written documents
bility to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with other team members
bility to stay organized and follow established procedures across many projects
Proficient with the MS Office software suite, Sharepoint

re there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful?
Previous experience with or understanding of government procurement/contracting/Request for Proposals a plus
Basic project management tools (task and deliverable lists, budgets, charts, etc.)
Candidate must have strong technical writing and business correspondence skills (e.g. scopes of work, internal memos and email)
Background/experience with Oracle Peoplesoft, Salesforce, and Asana desired but will train
Experience in contract development/negotiations desired but not required

Certifications and qualifications, including education/degree
Education and experience commensurate with an Associate's degree

IT systems that will be used
Salesforce, NEIS (Oracle Peoplesoft), Microsoft Office, Microsoft Sharepoint, Asana

Tasks
ssist program and project management staff :
- Support the contracting process that takes place in Oracle People Soft and Salesforce
- Provide support for Scoring Committee meetings (i.e., assist program staff in preparing for meetings, note taking during meetings, and award decision memoranda)
- Track ongoing contracted project performance to deliverables and financial milestones
- Generate program solicitation, contracting, and modification documents such as contracting memos, solicitation materials, and contracting packages
- Manage contractor project execution including review of submitted project deliverables, milestones, and invoices
- Ensure correct and complete project documentation including interim and final reports, completed project summaries, and contractor assessments
- Perform data entry
- Other duties as required that support the initiatives of the Clean Transportation team.
