Summary:
The Communications Manager is responsible for the creation of strategic communication plans and content to support multiple branded channels including but not limited to: Digital Communications, Social Media Channels, Website and Public Relations so internal and external audiences are aligned to organization priorities and updates.
A successful Communications Manager has superb verbal and written communication skills alongside highly developed attention to detail to present written, verbal and visual materials that speaks to various stakeholder groups of the mission and story of the organization. They can prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops communication plans and campaigns on behalf of various initiatives utilizing current and future communication channels and tools.
2. Creates timelines, identifies key messages, writes corresponding copy that meets audience needs, and proposes communication delivery methods
3. Monitors the success of communication plans, communicating results and reporting as needed.
4. Oversees internal and external communication channels, including all social media sites, websites, digital, and email communication
5. Is the lead strategic social media manager, responsible for content creation, audience engagement, brand storytelling and performance analytics to grow the EverTrue online presence and drive business impact
6. Develops and executes strategy using data-driven social media storytelling that aligns with brand goals and business objects.
7. Designs, writes and curates engaging content (text, images, video and graphics) tailored to platform and audience.
8. Oversees platform management for corporate and community social media channels through scheduling, posting and engagement
9. Creates robust social media training for editors in the communities to align them to brand standards and best practices.
10. Is a lead content creator, maintaining accurate and precise grammar in the voice of requesters and the organization
11. Partners with EverTrue team members to provide compelling copy and visuals for digital and print pieces, which include but are not limited to internal channels, social media channels, stories, SEO articles, website copy, etc.
12. Writes press releases, news articles, and organization stories
13. Interviews residents, family members, and team members as needed
14. Monitors brand reputation and review solicitation for the overarching organization as well as individual communities and service lines
15. Crafts responses and triages responses as needed
16. Provides reporting and support for communities in garnering reviews
17. Supports Communication Specialist, including task review, co-writing, strategy development and editing
