Love numbers, leases, and making accounting magic happen? Our client, a leader in commercial real estate, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support lease accounting, general ledger management, and month-end close in a fully remote, contract role.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40/hr - $50/hr

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, with a strong focus on lease accounting under ASC 842. This role supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and audit preparation while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver clear financial insights. This is a 6-month contract, fully remote, with potential for extension.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and post accurate GAAP-compliant journal entries.
• Manage lease accounting activities in compliance with ASC 842.
• Oversee general ledger, cash, and intercompany accounting.
• Collaborate with HR on payroll-related journal entries.
• Perform financial analysis, variance reviews, and reporting.
• Support internal and external audits and assist with ad hoc accounting projects.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and hands-on ASC 842 lease accounting experience.
• Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Experience with intercompany accounting.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Commercial real estate industry experience.
• Foreign currency accounting experience.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP platforms.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
