Maintenance Engineer III, Full Time
Rate of Pay: $28.53/hour

Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii... King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Full Time Maintenance Engineer III to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.

Brief Summary of Job: Performs repair and maintenance work on hotel facilities and all the duties of subordinates.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
Repairs and paints under general supervision.
Keeps parts and tool inventory.
Cleans and maintains areas as assigned.
Responds to service calls.
Assists in setting up equipment for special events.
Assists higher rated maintenance personnel.
Checks performance of equipment as assigned and reports deficiencies.
Keeps logs and records.
May direct subordinate employees.
Maintain shop and tools in clean, orderly and safe condition.
Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications:
Good customer service. Must have the ability to use hand tools and power tools. Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, screening and locks. Proper tool and chemical use.

Knowledge/Education/Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience. High school or equivalent education.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:
English speaking or bilingual. Ability to make timely, effective decisions. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Ability to maintain good team member relations. Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external guest relations. Ability to provide legible written communications. Strong analytical skills. Strong oral and written skills, able to interpret and present information to management. Strong attention to detail. Dependable.
