Job Description
Video Editor
Location: Remote but local to Culver City, CA or Cupertino, CA or New York City, NY
Schedule: 40 hours
Duration: 6 months with potential to extend
Pay: $57.71 - $63.29/hr, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for a Video Editor to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 6-month contract, working a remote schedule but local to Culver City, CA or Cupertino, CA or New York City, NY.
Video Editor Qualifications:
- A deep understanding of editorial storytelling.
- Editing skills in Final Cut Pro and other equivalent software platforms.
- 5+ years of relevant video research and editing or multimedia experience in a creatively driven environment, including publishing, entertainment studios, or creative agencies that serve those industries.
- Broad knowledge of all forms/types of sources for existing video footage, including boutique syndication agencies, stock houses, museums, and galleries.
- Knowledge of rights, likeness restrictions, contract negotiation, and legal clearance processes for licensed content.
- Degree in BS/BA Art, Photography, Film, Art History or Communication preferred
- Conceptualize, design, and create the content experiences for some of our most visible products.
- Identify and license compelling video specified projects.
- Brainstorm, coordinate and collaborate frequently to synthesize creative input into visual solutions.
