Overview

Client Manager II plans, coordinates and manages the execution of direct marketing and digital campaigns on behalf of the client and in support of client business objectives and prepared strategic plans; serves as the primary point of daily contact for the client with regard to specific projects across multiple Vericast locations; and fosters a positive client-company relationship.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
  • Serves as main point of contact for the client regarding project initiatives (all teams); coordinates project communications with the client, external vendors, internal team members; schedules and leads meetings and conference calls; reviews progress, opportunities, and financial implications; some meetings may require travel; deepen the client relationship through meaningful engagement.
  • Act as a consultant to the client for development and management of Vericast's programs/solutions; liaises with production scoping and pricing process on a project basis by identifying upsell opportunities, coordinating cost estimates, PWOs/proposals and answering client questions on product or capabilities.
  • Liaises with the Business Development Executive and Strategic Account team assigned to a client project by reviewing strategic briefs and coordinating client and team approvals, managing changes in strategy throughout the term of a project, notifying team members and facilitating discussions with the client, and notifying the Business Development Executive of discrepancies to ensure client satisfaction and manage the overall client relationship.
  • Maintains documentation related to individual direct marketing and digital campaign projects by opening jobs in Advantage, maintaining project notes and online folders for all assigned jobs, maintaining status reports for assigned projects and distributing to team members, developing written communication to inform team members of any changes in their project roles, maintaining client edit and approval documents on such items as creative work and data processing reports.
  • Serves as the liaison with Analytics and Data Services processes on a project basis by assisting in writing data processing specifications, coordinating client review and approval of data processing specifications, and reviewing data processing audits such as source file audits, interim audits, selection audits and mail file audits.
  • Serves as the liaison with the Creative process on a project basis by reviewing creative copy and concepts for support of client strategic objectives, coordinating client revisions and approvals, and coordinating the internal routing of creative documents for quality checks.
  • Manages project process through the implementation of company processes and procedures to meet established client deadlines, communicates timelines to project team members and updates as necessary, manages client budgets and project expenses and ensures quality control throughout each stage of the process.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the duties above. Equipment / Software Utilized: Personal computer, in a Microsoft Windows environment: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field OR equivalent knowledge, skill, and development to the completion of four years of college with courses in Marketing.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of direct marketing account management experience preferably servicing the financial services industry or any equivalent combination of training and experience (Required)
  • Working knowledge of direct marketing principles and practices (Required)
  • Budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning experience along with experience with financial modeling. Experience with best practices in financial reporting and experience with planning and reporting systems and ERP systems, high standards of accuracy and highly organized.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively, be highly driven and self-motivated with ability to command credibility and influence across the organization.
  • Ability to think strategically, act tactically and embrace rapid change and ambiguity. Ability to work independently with limited direction.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with cross-functional and cross-divisional projects that drive change. Demonstrated project management skills along with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
Communication and Contacts

This role has contact with current clients, potential clients, external vendors, other account executives, business development executives and various employees within Marketing Services processes: Client Strategy, Analytics and Business Intelligence, Operations, Creative and Project Services.

Additional Information
  • Base Salary: $60,000 - $80,000
  • Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program.
