The Environmental Safety and Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Environmental and Safety Compliance for COM, Service and Capital Projects across the assigned properties. Ensure that standards are achieved and sustained in accordance with project objectives. Will be required to work closely with Lendlease Environmental and Safety Managers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that COM, Service and Capital Projects are delivered in a compliant, safe and timely manner as it pertains to environmental and safety policies and procedures. Provide environmental support for supervisors and subcontractors to address, scope, quality and compliance concerns.
  • Participated in site safety and environmental programs, coordinating with Senior Management, Lendlease safety and environmental managers on immediate concerns and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure that Lendlease and Military Partner environmental and safety policies, procedures, standards and reporting requirements are effectively communicated to all employees.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits of worksites and record keeping. Present findings to senior management and Lendlease personnel. Work with Senior Management and Lendlease Environmental/Safety Managers on identifying strategies for rectifying identified deficiencies.
  • Serve as key in reviewing and managing policies and plans for personnel response and efforts during emergency situations, such as fires, storms and floods, during and after normal business hours.
  • Address customer environmental and safety concerns and diffuse minimizing escalation.
  • Promote and practice environmental and safety campaigns including Incident and Injury Free (IIF).
  • Review Yardi and ensure that all required notes and documentation exist for environmental related work orders.
  • Sets goals and priorities for functional area. May make recommendations for department policies, practices and programs. Manager or Director provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Assists in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget in functional area or department.

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Vocational/Technical training and/or Associates degree preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 5 - 8 years work-related experience
  • 1 - 3 years previous supervisory experience
  • Must have a current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy
  • RRP, ACM O&M Supervisor, OSHA 30 certifications preferred
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
  • Able to comprehend and communicate complex information, verbally and written, in English to organization staff, clients, families and external customers
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use in complex varied situations.
