Job Title

ISP/OSP Senior Splicer / Plant Lead (Copper/Fiber)

Location

Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam (JBPH), Oahu, HI. Site onsite with travel throughout Oahu; occasional travel to Kauai, HI. Candidates must be local to Oahu.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer splice matrices; design slack storage and mid‑span entries; oversee trench/handhole/manhole works.
  • Approve loss budgets and acceptance criteria; own records (splice maps, cable schedules).
  • Train crews; audit safety and workmanship; optimize materials and vendor selections.

Qualifications

  • Citizenship and Clearance: US Citizenship required; DBIDS eligible; DoD Secret preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Mastery of fusion splicing and closure families; advanced OTDR analysis and fault isolation.
  • Certifications (Preferred): BICSI OSP Specialist; BICSI RCDD; FOA CFOS; traffic‑control certification; confined‑space supervisor.

Compensation

$80,000 - $95,000
