Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) I
General Dynamics Information Technology is hiring for the Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) I role. This position provides day-to-day security support for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, identifies and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
- Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
- Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
- Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
- Follow and enforce customers' Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
- Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
- Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of degree, must have 4 additional years of experience in addition to the 1-2 years experience listed below.
- 1 – 2 years related experience.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.
Desired Experience
- Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements)
Security Clearance
- Must have a TS/SCI clearance to start and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.

Compensation and Benefits
The likely salary range for this position is $63,920 - $86,480. Salary is based on experience, location and contractual requirements and could fall outside this range.
