About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Assistant Cultural Ambassador who strives for excellence in a fast‑paced work environment. This position reports to our Director of Hawaiian Programs.

What You Will Do

Gives visitors and employees a sense of place; along with the ability to identify, appreciate, and share the history and culture of Maui.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent with a good working knowledge of Hawaii, with preference given to knowledge of South Maui.
• Hawaiian cultural knowledge and experience (e.g., knowledge of Hawaiian arts and crafts – ability to perform or demonstrate, and teach the art or craft, hula expertise, ukulele knowledge, storytelling experience, knowledge of wayfinding, outrigger, etc.).
• Computer literacy, including basic Word and Excel. Organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to work well independently and has the initiative to plan proactively.
• Strong communication skills, including public speaking and interacting with guests.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Ability to play ukulele and/or guitar preferred.
• Knowledge of Hawaiian language preferred.

Schedule & Hours

• Casual.
• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty‑four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
