Overview

Partner at Matrix Finance and Accounting has an exciting role for a Payroll Manager that will provide strong leadership and manage the daily responsibilities and results for a team in the payroll department. This role will oversee and direct payroll procedures, ensuring that employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with labor law and government regulations related to payroll reporting, taxing, and garnishments. Ensure compliance with 401(k) regulations and the GCI 401(k) Plan Document. Will manage a team of three and be responsible for improving processes where needed.

Base pay range

$95,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct payroll procedures to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with labor law and government regulations related to payroll reporting, taxation, and garnishments.
• Ensure compliance with 401(k) regulations and the GCI 401(k) Plan Document.
• Manage a payroll team of three and drive process improvements where needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible payroll accounting experience in a medium to large organization of 1000+ employees.
• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
• At least three (3) years of supervision/management of a payroll team processing complex payroll on integrated payroll/human resources software.
• Strong experience with ADP, process improvement, and the ability to collaborate with others to drive CHANGE.
